• Your device location is collected when you use the clock-in/clock-out feature to verify your physical presence at a designated work location
• Location data is only collected when the app is in use and you have granted permission. It is not collected in the background.

2.3 Camera and Biometric Data

• The app may request access to your camera for selfie verification during clock-in to prevent buddy punching
• Captured images are used solely for attendance verification purposes

2.4 Device Information

• Device identifiers may be collected for security purposes, including preventing unauthorised access and detecting suspicious activity
• Operating system version and app version for technical support

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To provide and operate the StaffLedger HR platform
• To verify your identity and attendance records
• To process payroll, leave requests, and HR workflows
• To send notifications related to your employment (leave approvals, payslips, reminders)
• To maintain security and prevent fraudulent activity
• To generate HR analytics and reports for your employer

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your data may be shared only in the following circumstances:

• With your employer or HR administrators who use StaffLedger to manage your employment records
• With cloud infrastructure providers for secure data storage and hosting. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for any other purpose
• If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process in The Gambia or applicable jurisdictions

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required by your employer's HR policies. When your employment ends or your account is deactivated, your data will be retained for a period required by applicable employment law and then securely deleted.
